1. What is a tipper semi trailer?

Tipper semi trailers are also called dump trucks, dumper trailers, side tippers, tip trailers, and scrap dump trailers.

4. What is a tipper trailer used for?

Tipper trailers are used to help the construction community complete projects quickly, efficiently, and safely. The job of a tipper trailer is to lift and transport loose construction materials such as asphalt, construction aggregates, dirt, grain, gravel, sand, snow, and wood chips around the job site in an efficient and bulk manner.

5. How does a tipping trailer work?

Loading operation. When the dump truck is disconnected from the tractor, it cannot be loaded. Otherwise, it is prone to tip over.

Load the dump truck evenly. When filling a dump truck with cargo, it is essential to distribute it evenly and need to make sure it does not tip over.

Before unloading the material from the body, the tractor must be firmly grounded, and the tail and tractor must be perfectly aligned.

Before entirely relieving the dump truck body into the air, one needs to ensure that it does not come into contact with surrounding obstacles. Make sure the pneumatic suspension of the semi-trailer has in a lower position before lifting the dump truck.

When all the proper checks are completed, the load can be unloaded. This needs to be done in one smooth continuous motion. Do not increase the speed of the vehicle while unloading.

When dumping material, checking the dump truck's rear for blockages is essential. If there is a blockage, the dumper may flip over.

If the cargo is blocked and the dumper is raised, do not quickly jerk the vehicle or drive it forward at this time.

The cylinder should only raise and lower the dumper body to release the transported cargo. The body must be reduced immediately after completing unloading. Do not drive with the dumper lifted; moving with the cylinder raised will affect the vehicle's stability.

During operation, the cylinder should not be subjected to lateral forces. The dump truck cylinder should not work for more than 30 minutes at a time.

Do not walk under the vast dump body. After unloading the trailer, fully retract the cylinder.

Ensuring proper use of the hydraulic system will ensure effective use of the dump truck systematized, and adjustment of pressure settings is prohibited.

6. What to look for when buying a tipper trailer

Over time, your trailer will experience some wear and tear. It may be a good idea to consider purchasing a spare tire for your trailer, and it's always handy to have one nearby in case you need it. Buying a spare tire along with your trailer will also ensure that you are purchasing the correct wheels for your trailer. There are a lot of wheels out there, and not all of them will be compatible with your trailer.

A dump trailer must meet all the job requirements, handle harsh conditions, and last a long time. It's worth buying a quality product first, rather than buying a cheaper alternative with high maintenance and repair costs in the long run.
