Satin finish, commonly called “No.4 finish stainless steel”, is a general-purpose bright polishing. Satin stainless steel has a diffuse finish, offering a soft shine. It is a non-directional and uniform mechanical finish with a satin aesthetic. With certain ambient reflectivity, it is available as flat metal sheets or for standard specification within projects.
The satin finish is a brushing process. Before further refinement, the metal surface is brushed with a layer of minute line to achieve this pleasing light diffusion without mottling.
