The structure of rolling bearing normally includes below five components:
Inner ring
Outer ring
Rolling elements
Cage
Lubricant (grease or lubricating oil)
The function of the rolling bearing:
The inner ring usually fits tightly with the shaft and rotates together with it.
The outer ring usually fits with the bearing housing hole or the housing of the mechanical component to provide support.
The rolling elements are evenly arranged between the inner and outer ring with the cage. Its shape, size and quantity directly determine the bearing load capacity.
The cage evenly separates the rolling element, guiding them to move on the correct raceway.
Lubricant (grease or lubricating oil) form a lubricating oil film on the working surface of the bearing, lubricating the bearing and reducing friction.
