About Electronic Materials

Aims

Electronic Materials (ISSN 2673-3978) is an open access journal of related scientific research and technology development. It provides a forum for the publication of reviews, regular research papers (articles), and short communications on fundamental science, engineering, and practical applications of electronic materials. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in great detail. Therefore, there is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced.

Scope

  • Electronic materials used in electronic and microelectronic devices, including dielectric materials, semiconductors, low dimensional semiconductors, 2D and qusi-2D semiconductors, piezoelectric, ferroelectric, antiferroelectric and relaxor materials, conductive metals and alloys, magnetic materials, superconducting materials, optoelectronic materials, electromagnetic shield materials and other related materials, quantum dots for light emission and color conversion. Classes of materials such as nanoparticles, nanowires, nanoplatelets, thin films, heterostructures, 2D materials, colloids, amorphous materials, nano and microcrystalline materials, single crystals, epitaxial films, mismatched films, self-standing membranes;
  • Applications in integrated circuit devices, interconnects, insulators, quantum-effect structures, displays and imaging, MEMS, sensors and actuators, energy harvesting and energy storage devices, nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, biomedical electronics, flexible/soft electronics, organic electronics (including organic conducting layers, OLEDs, OPVs, OFETs, etc.), inorganic and hybrid perovskites for photovoltaics, memory and computation, and materials for field emission applications;
  • Materials integration, growth and processing, including both physical and chemical methods. Design and construction of devices;
  • Modeling of electronic materials, including Density Functional Theory methods, Molecular Dynamics, phase field modeling and Finite Elements, among others;
  • Characterization of electronic materials via microscopy, diffraction, spectroscopy and proximity methods, also in situ and in operando. Macroscopic property measurements. Modeling procedures for interpretation, integration and substantiation of experimental results, with the ultimate goal of a multiscale study of structure–property relationships of electronic materials.

Several topical Special Issues will be published.
