Carhartt Releases All-New Inherently Flame-Resistant Apparel Program for Fall

DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Carhartt, America's premium work wear brand since 1889, launches an all-new inherently flame-resistant (FR) apparel program including a work shirt, a relaxed-fit work pant and a work coverall. Carhartt, known worldwide as a legendary work wear brand with a history of developing rugged apparel for workers both on the job and off, together with TenCate, known across the globe as a leading innovator in FR fabrics, announced their collaboration for this premier apparel offering back in May.  Carhartt's new inherent FR program will be offered in Tencate's Tecasafe® Plus fabric in two colors and weights and is available this fall through Carhartt distributors, retailers and online.

The FR Work Shirt (100167), a 5.8-ounce proprietary blend of FR modacrylic/ lyocell/ aramid, offers two chest pockets with flap and button closures, extended sleeve plackets with two-button adjustable cuffs, FR melamine buttons throughout, button-down collar with button closure, Carhartt's signature triple-stitched main seams for added durability, Carhartt FR and HRC 1 labels sewn visibly on the left chest pocket. This garment meets NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112 standards and is available in sizes S-4XL regular and M-4XL tall. Offered in Khaki and Dark Navy. MSRP $90.

The FR Work Pant (100172), a 7-ounce proprietary blend of FR modacrylic/ lyocell/ aramid, sits slightly below the natural waist, relaxed through seat and thighs. This garment offers Carhartt's signature triple-stitched main seams, arc-resistant button closure at waist, brass zipper fly with Nomex® FR zipper tape for added protection, two reinforced back welt pockets and generous leg openings to fit comfortably over work boots and HRC 2 label sewn on front waistband. This garment meets NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112 standards. Offered in Khaki and Dark Navy. MSRP $100.

The FR Work Coverall (100162), a 7-ounce proprietary blend of FR modacrylic/ lyocell/ aramid, offers two chest pockets with flaps, two pass-through pockets, left-leg utility band, multiple tool and utility pockets, spread collar, brass front zipper with Nomex® FR zipper tape for added protection, split-back construction, pleated bi-swing for added range of motion, Carhartt's signature triple-stitched main seams, generous leg openings to fit comfortably over work boots, Carhartt FR label sewn visibly on back and front pockets, HRC 2 label sewn visibly on left-chest pocket. This garment meets NFPA 70E and NFPA 2112 standards. Offered in Khaki and Dark Navy. MSRP $165.
